Orfe EcoArt Program is an experiential ecological art program designed to promote creativity and environmental responsibility in children and youth. Our mission is to inspire and prepare a new generation with the knowledge and creativity to be environmentally conscious leaders and innovators, by providing educational programs in an eco-friendly environment where children can learn through experience, experimental art techniques, and a hands-on approach.
About the role:
The Orfe Eco Art Program is seeking enthusiastic newcomers’ artists and undergraduate creative students to join our volunteer team! We are looking for volunteers to help us expand our unique EcoArt Program in more schools in the Greatest Area of Toronto.
This is a great opportunity to gain experience in the field of art and environmental education and to be part of a dynamic and passionate team. Volunteers will help to develop, plan, and manage Eco Art activities and programs. This will involve working with staff to set up and facilitate Eco Art workshops. Volunteers also could help to create promotional materials, assist with administrative duties, and provide support for our outreach initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Experience in environmental education, art, or event planning is an asset
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work with diverse groups of people
- Enthusiasm for the natural world
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
